Cookie Statement

Version 1.0, August 2026

The short version: we place one cookie, it keeps you logged in, and there is nothing here to consent to. This page names everything Cloudpliant stores on, or reads from, your device.

What we place

  • better-auth.session_token · app.cloudpliant.com · keeps you logged in after you sign in · expires after 7 days or when you log out · strictly necessary, first-party, not readable by JavaScript.
  • The marketing site (cloudpliant.com) places nothing at all: no cookie, no local storage, no pixel, no fingerprint.

Why there is no cookie banner

Under art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet, consent is required for anything stored on or read from your device, unless it is needed to transmit the communication or is strictly necessary for the service you asked for. Note that this applies to any storage, not only cookies: local storage and fingerprinting are covered too, and it applies whether or not the stored data is personal data.

A login session is strictly necessary for an application you asked to log into. We place nothing else, so there is nothing to ask you about. A banner whose only honest answer is yes is not a choice.

Analytics without cookies

We run Umami on our own infrastructure in the EU. It counts page views with the URL, the referring site and any campaign parameters in the link. It sets no cookie, assigns you no identifier, cannot follow you to other sites, and sends nothing to a third party. Because nothing is stored on your device, it needs no consent.

How we measure marketing

When you click a button on our site that leads to signup, the campaign parameters travel in the link itself and are recorded once if you actually create an account. Nothing about that is stored on your device, and it is discarded for everyone who does not sign up.

Until August 2026 the marketing site also placed cp_attrib, a first-party cookie that remembered for 90 days which campaign had brought you to the site. It carried campaign metadata only, with no identifier for you, but it served our marketing rather than your visit. We removed it instead of asking for consent, so that the site places nothing that is not strictly necessary.

Your control

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. The only consequence here is that blocking the session cookie makes it impossible to stay logged in. Questions about this page go to privacy@cloudpliant.com.
